How does color management help me resolve daily problems at work? That is universal question from general users.
Here we list some FAQs and solutions for your benefit.
Capture the photo colors accurately
Digital camera profiles created with MyColor and Complete help photographers easily capture the original colors of the objects without worrying about the impacts of environment illuminant or lens.
No more color adjustment for each scan
Photo scanning is the foremost end of the whole color process so there is great pressure for you. For accurate color scanning, it takes time to adjust the colors of each photo and an accurate monitor for reference. Without color management system, you will just get half the result with twice the effort. Scanner profiles created with MyColor and Complete save much valuable time in color adjustment and help you get accurate slide and photo colors with greater productivity.
Why are the printed colors so different from the screen display?
That's because you haven't created profiles for the printer and the monitor. Create profiles with MyColor or Complete and you can get the consistency between printing result and display colors.
I have already created monitor and printer profiles, but why the displayed image is not dark enough at shadow areas in soft-proofing?
That is because the black point of the printer is not dark enough, resulting in shadow bleaching compared with simulation on the monitor. Qualux has the unique feature of monitor Fine-Tune to remove the phenomenon of shadow bleaching in your soft-proof software. You can create a specific profile with those Fine-Tune settings. And then the image editing software can make use of that Fine-Tune profile for precise color adjustment.
How can I avoid wasting time just because of the colors?
The coordination of monitor and printer profiles created with MyColor and Complete allow you to see the colors upon future printing and make the immediate adjustment. You don't need to print each time for observation, thus greatly saving your working time and materials.
Simulating printing results of other devices
A design may be displayed in several media. If you can use your own device to simulate the printing results of other devices beforehand, you will be able to discuss different color requirements with your customer in advance for early corrections and minimize unnecessary wastes. The powerful color settings of Qualux Complete ensure the printer profiles with higher accuracy and more precise color simulation.
Workspace profile unifying the output results of various devices
If you have several output devices, how can you maintain the same output result of your selected colors by all those devices even at the stage of design? Qualux's unique working space profiles can unify those devices in a working space so that your selected colors will not go beyond the gamuts of those devices.
Display color consistency of workgroup
If the LCD or CRT monitors within a workgroup may display the same colors, it can enhance the cooperation and flexibility of that workgroup for better productivity. Qualux's monitor profiles help adjust the closest colors for both LCDs and CRTs.
The customer provides an actual object color or a special color. So how can I print it out with a specified media?
You can use the feature of sport color measurement or enter a Lab value, Qualux MyColor and Qualux Complete can provide a closest color value under your specific profile.
My inkjet printer gives more vivid colors than 4 color offset printing. So should I not use this inkjet printer for proofing?
4 color offset printing gamut is different from an inkjet printer gamut. Without color management, there is naturally no consistency when the same file is printed with two completely different gamuts. For the solution, you should first create profiles for these two media, and then use the inkjet printer to simulate 4 color offset printing (or vice versa), so that you can easily maintain the consistency of two kinds of media colors.
Will the printing colors more vivid after using color management?
The purpose of color management is to maintain consistent colors in the replication, manufacture and display in the color industry. Color replication is the root of the industry. In other words, the main purpose of color management is to reduce costs and increase efficiency for greater profits. Color management only concerns the accuracy of color replication, manufacture and display. And the vividness of the product is up to you.
